How to Use Adobe Illustrator’s Pen Tool to Draw a Fashion Sketch

Adobe Illustrator’s pen tool is very powerful, and for me is probably the tool I use the most to draw.  It allows you to have extremely precise control over curvature and angle of your lines.  Watch this quick tutorial to show how you can use the pen tool to trace a hand drawn fashion sketch.  While you can do this via the Live Trace tool, I think it is still good to understand the fundamentals of the program and know how to create these by hand.  Additionally, depending on the quality of your scan, Live Trace may not give you the result you want and you’ll be doing so much darn “clean up” that it would have been easier to draw manually in the first place!
