In addition to designing collections, I’ve had the opportunity to work on the entire catalog production process for these collections. It is extremely rewarding and satisfying to be involved in all elements of the garment lifecycle and to not only see it come full circle into production but to manage and coordinate the presentation of that design to the end customers. Maintaining brand integrity while also designing a look and feel that compliment the line is a challenge that I enjoy.

Creating the foundation of a company’s image and brand is always a challenging project which I enjoy. I typically approach the design by first working extensively with my client to learn about their company and to find out if there are any design elements or color palettes that they would like to explore, while also finding out what logos they like and why. It is essential to understand what their eye is attracted to because a logo must not only resonate well with their target market but also with them. Some research on their competitors and contemporaries is also necessary so as to make sure their logo isn’t too similar. After the various stages of analysis are done, the fun begins with the design phase! Concepts and color palette options are explored, refined and tweaked over and over. I ensure that the logo will work well across all mediums including color or black & white print and web, and is scalable for use in small and large formats.
